One of the highlights of the range is the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet, a lovely wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of ripe citrus, buttered orchard fruit, praline and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, it's lively and complete, with fine tension at the core and a long finish.

The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Canet 1er Cru comes from red clayey soils around 40cm in depth over limestone soils. The vines are around 65 years old, and they suffer more millerandage than other Premier Crus. This has an intense, concentrated bouquet with touches of white flower infusing the crushed rock/flinty aromas. It feels stoic but very well defined. The palate is well balanced, offering orange peel and marmalade notes on the entry. Wonderful depth here, and a sense of energy. This should evolve into a marvelous Champ Canet once in bottle.
