The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Village finishes its aging in foudres, which is where my sample came from. It has a pleasant raspberry and briar bouquet that just requires a little more vigor. The palate is well balanced, offering supple tannin, tart red cherry fruit and a touch of piquancy on the finish. Fine.
