This wine’s light ruby color, bright red-berry fruit and fresh herbal tones might draw comparisons to Loire Valley cabernet franc. Grown on limestone-rich soils, it’s unusually brisk for a ripasso, the concentrated flavors buoyed by brisk acidity. It may not be a typical ripasso, but it’s a delicious one, and a fantastic partner for pork or veal.

A textbook Valpolicella, this opens with aromas of strawberry, red currant and a whiff of chopped aromatic herb while the bright palate doles out red-skinned berry, cinnamon and white pepper. Fresh acidity and velvety tannins provide the polished framework. Enjoy through 2020.

A fruity and fresh red with sliced strawberry and lemon character. Medium body. Clean and vivid finish. Drink now.
