Very floral and attractive with blueberry and violet aromas and flavors. Medium bodied, balanced and polished. This is always a pretty bottle. Drink or hold.

The 2017 Salvaje Malbec comes from some almost-experimental micro-vinifications, and they used the wines that they thought could take a longer élevage (18 months this time). The wine is serious, with some herbal and spicy notes from the 15% Cabernet Franc it has. It's elegant and fresh and has a medium-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins and very good balance. It managed to keep its elegance and poise and show some varietal notes, coming through as harmonious and with a dry finish. Only 900 bottles were filled in October 2018.
