Black violet color. Interesting aromas and flavors of cherry wood, balsamic vinegar, red apple, and hibiscus with a slightly chewy, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a tingling, complex, long finish with overtones of curry, dill, fennel seed, and tar with firm tannins and heavy oak flavor. New world wine-drinkers will love this intriguing and mysterious Rioja that will continue to develop new and interesting flavors.

The 2015 Hado is a blend of Tempranillo from 23 different plots located in the village of Laguardia and ranging in age from 20 to 60 years old. It fermented in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic in the same fermentation vessels and 12 months in French oak barrels. It's ripe and balanced, powerful, with good ripeness. All the reds from 2015 have fine tannins, a lush texture and are approachable and showy, with a slightly warm finish. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2017.

Straight-forward blue fruits, violets, cassis and red plums. The palate has a pastry-like edge of tart red cherry and plum fruits. Drink now.

Cocoa and black pepper notes frame plum and boysenberry flavors in this generous red. Licorice, leafy and smoky notes add interest. Light, firm tannins and crisp acidity support the round texture. Bright and lively. Drink now through 2025. 8,500 cases made, 300 cases imported.
