"This wine comes from the Dubernard family's vineyards located just west of the Fronsac appellation. The vineyard's south facing hillsides are planted to Merlot (60%), Malbec (an unusually high 20%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%) in clay and limestone soils. "Not surprisingly, this is a fuller-flavored, denser, red wine than one usually finds in a bottle of "basic" Bordeaux Superieur with distinctive, mineral complexity. Enjoyable upon release, it should develop nicely in bottle for the next five years. Enjoy! Total production in 2005 was 2,500 cases." -Winery
