Aromatically effusive, with bruised apples, poached pear, and a hint of Madagascar vanilla bean, the Sonoma Coast Chardonnay from Sonoma Cutrer aims for ripeness. The palate is fleshy, with macerated peaches and ripe pineapple at the fore. Toasted brioche, almond skin elements, and nutmeg-spiced pear cake envelop the palate in a rich, spice-driven roundness.
