A contemplative Barolo that unfolds with poise, gradually revealing layers of mixed spices that weave through the aromatics with subtle persuasion rather than force. The palate demonstrates Trediberri's masterful balance of structure and generosity - firm Nebbiolo tannins frame a pure, focused core of classic Piemontese red fruits: fresh cherry, wild strawberry, and bright red currants. Delicate floral notes and savory undertones add sophisticated detail to this finesse-driven expression. While already displaying admirable elegance and harmony, additional time in bottle will allow its components to further integrate. This is refined, precise Barolo that speaks clearly of its place and soul. Drink from 2026

Nicola and Stefania Oberto are slowly putting Berri on the map. Silky, aromatic and creamy on the palate, the 2021 Barolo Berri is striking in its beauty. Crushed flowers, sweet red-toned fruit, chalk, mint and white pepper all meld together effortlessly. Silky, polished tannins frame the finish. The 2021 doesn't have the immediacy of the 2020, but it may catch up to it one day because of its energy. It is a superb young Barolo—that much is clear. About 30% of wine saw submerged cap maceration. Time in cask was 25 months.

From the Cru in the northwest, the 2021 Barolo Berri is a medium ruby color and has a fantastic nose with a spicy and attractive profile of cranberries, clove, roses, and dusty, brushy earth. Medium-bodied, it’s even on the palate, with even, ripe acidity, chalky tannins, and a lovely purity, and it stays light on its feet, with a floating feel. I expect this to age very well over the coming 20 years, but it’s hard to resist now.

Fragrant, evoking rose and peony aromas, along with strawberry, cherry, pomegranate and Earl Grey tea flavors. Dense tannins and vibrant acidity lend support and the aftertaste echoes the fruit and floral notes, along with savory herb and mineral elements. Elegant. Best from 2028 through 2047.

This is an aromatically bright Barolo, featuring aromas of dried flowers, mushrooms, earth and sliced strawberries. It is medium- to full-bodied, showing a very refined profile of vibrant fruit and a touch of concentration. The wine is precise and well knitted. It originates from Berri, in the highest part of La Morra. It is already a joy to taste, but better to wait until 2026.
