If you crave structured, complex wines, you'll be well served by this bottle. The wine has a gentle nose of blackberry, red raspberry and red plum with a hint of dried mushroom and red cherry. Firm yet yielding tannins provide the architecture upon which the fleshy fruit structure is built.

A seductive nose of dark berries, black olives, dried thyme, roasted meat and some leather. It’s medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Structured and well-balanced with a caressing texture at the center. Fruity and compact in the finish. Carignan, syrah, grenache noir and mourvedre. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold.

Crafted from old vines, the 2021 Corbieres Boutenac Chateau de Villemajou Grand Vin reveals a peppery, spicy bouquet of lead pencil, baked dark berries and licorice mingled with oaky hints. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, this is a rather muscular, dense profile typical of Corbières Boutenac. It has chunky tannins and an assertive tannic frame that leads to a peppery, oaky finish. This cuvée emphasizes a bold, distinctive style over terroir expression, having matured for 12 months in barrels and another year in bottles before release.
