Intensely fragrant, this stunner has enticing scents of crushed mint, rose a hint of pine forest and a potpourri of spice. Made with organically farmed grapes, it's linear, with knife-like precision that frames pomegranate, red cherry, licorice and tobacco. Tightly-knit, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity keep balanced.

This 2018 Rivetto Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba has sweet spice and strawberry on the nose and on standing shows creamy spice with smoke, leather, stewed tea and also some floral jasmine notes. It has a very nice weight in the middle for a 2018 and well integrated tannins but with a very slightly rough edge. It is firm and juicy at the same time - a powerful style but with a certain smoothness. Wait one to two years, then drink to 15 years.
