The front label of this wine wears an anniversary seal celebrating 37 years (1980-2017) of production. The Castello Vicchiomaggio 2017 Ripa delle More opens to ripe cherry and dark fruit that definitely show some of the sweetness and extra richness of this hot and dry growing season. This classy blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot shows soft textural fiber and lasting richness, perfect for some grilled lamb sausages. You get some grilled herb and black olive on the ripe, full-bodied finish.
