Refreshing and vibrant, offering tangerine and lime-tinged nectarine and green apple flavors that keep sailing through the long, generous and lively finish. Drink now. 500 cases imported. 93 points, The Wine Spectator - FEB 2010
With fruit from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys of Marlborough this exceptional Sauvignon Blanc is beautifully intense and lively, overflowing with aromas of ripe gooseberry, melon and passionfruit. It is mouth-filling and juicy with vibrant fruit and fantastic mid-palate richness and weight, finishing rich and racy with excellent length and crispness. 93 points, Steve Rayman
The 2009 Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc has a seductive, peach-tinged nose that is quite floral with touches of rose petal and orange zest. The palate is medium-bodied and very harmonious with subtle Tropicana touches underlying the green apple and nettle flavors. Elegant and persistent on the finish, this is a very commendable Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now-2013. 89 points, Neal Martin for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #191 (OCT 2010)
"Enticing aromas and flavors of gooseberry, passion fruit, pepper and fresh herbs. Dense, tactile and juicy, with ripe but firm acidity giving shape to this pliant, layered wine. Finishes broad, long and satisfying, with good chewy grip. Very attractive, ripe sauvignon." 89 points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Sep/Oct 10
Despite more than 8 g/L of residual sugar, this comes across as dry in style, with austere notes of crushed stone and lime zest balanced by riper hints of apple and pear. It should drink well over at least the next several years." 89 points - Wine Enthusiast, April 1, 2011 |
