Blackberry, black licorice and spices. What a nose. Full-bodied, with supervelvety tannins and a long, long finish. Wonderful texture. 92-95 points, James Suckling for The Wine Spectator, Online March 25, 2010.
This excellent yet under-exploited terroir has produced its finest Tertre Daugay to date. The dark ruby/purple-colored 2009 offers loads of black raspberry, licorice, and black cherry aromas, medium to full body, silky tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and an expansive finish. It should provide enormous pleasure over the next 10-15 years. (Tasted two times.) 89-91 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #188 (APR 2010. |
