This is comparatively timid on the nose, giving very little away at the moment despite rigorous coaxing. But the palate is very promising, very well balanced, very focused with a fine citrus attack on the entry, fanning out towards an apricot, white peach and lime tinged finish that shows a great deal of unctuous honeyed fruit on the finish. This is an exuberant Doisy-Vedrines that yearns to offer pleasure. 92-94 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Apr 2010)
Shows lots of lemon pie and almond spice, with hints of bitter lemon. Full-bodied, with a nutmeg and honey finish. Racy. 92-95 Points, The Wine Spectator (Mar 2010)
Deep yellow-gold. Knockout nose offers sweet banana, peach, flowers, citrus, mango and plenty of spicy botrytis. Very rich, ripe and smooth, this very sweet and full Sauternes displays uncommon depth and concentration to its flavors of ripe apricot, pineapple and spices. In the typically lush and sweet style of this estate's best vintages. Finishes focused and long, with hints of apple cider and peach nectar. One of the most refined, layered and balanced versions of Dosiy-Vedrines I recall at a similar stage of development. 90-93 points Ian D'Agata for Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (May/June 2010).
