Ripe red, with lots of pure raspberry, cherry and mulberry flavors accented by rich cream and spice notes. Dark chocolate and kirsch on the finish. Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca. Drink now through 2018. 1,500 cases imported.

The 2008 PRAZO DE RORIZ is a blend of Touriga Nacional (35%), Touriga Franca (28%), Tinta Roriz (35%) and Tinta Francisca (2%), another nice value this year. It always shows a little attention to structure that not all wines in this price range do. Pointed, crisp and focused, this is beautifully put together, the fruit perfectly supported by its backbone, relatively serious for this class of wine. The mid-palate is light, but the fruit is lingering and the finish shows some persistence. Drink now-2017.
