Supple, silky and appealing for its dark berry and spice flavors. This picks up licorice notes on the expressive finish. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2013.

Clancy’s is a reliable Barossa blend that in 2008 is 50% Shiraz, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot. It’s a supple wine, the bright cherry fruit framed by tart acids rather than firm tannins. Drink it over the next couple of years.J.C.

The 2008 Clancy’s has a medium-deep garnet color and aromas of warm blackberry, spice cake and mocha. A backbone of high acid and a medium level of chewy tannins support a good amount of warm berry fruit going into the medium-long finish. Drink this one from now to 2015.
