This is suave, with maduro tobacco, mulled fig, black currant paste and espresso notes all woven together. This features fine-grained tannins and a well-integrated finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2014. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 90 points, Wine Spectator, Feb 28, 2011
A very good effort, the 2008 exhibits a deep plum/garnet color as well as sweet notes of oak, earth, black currants, underbrush and loamy soil. The wine is medium-bodied, but narrows out in the finish. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. 88 Points, The Wine Advocate (2011)
