The 13,000 case blend, the 2007 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is dark ruby-colored with a nose of violets, black cherry, and black raspberry. Supple and easy-going on the palate, it has enough tannin to hold the wine together for several more years. Drink this tasty effort through 2015.
Under new ownership Rex Hill seems to have refocused on quality. 87 points Wine Advocate # 185 (Oct 2009).
A thin layer of firm tannins surround the red cherry and spice flavors in this light red, persisting on the finish. Drink now through 2012. 13,248 cases made. 87 points Harvey Steiman for the Wine Spectator, Online Nov 30, 2009.
