"It seems like some of the best seafood can be found in Verona.. at least some of the best I've found. Simply prepared and incredibly fresh. Of course a table of wine geeks has a table full of bottles, each attempting to out do the other. Year after year Pra is the best wine on the table. Whether it is the Soave Normale, Soave Staforte or the ultra rare Monte Grande. Pra is one of Italy's finest producers of concentrated, un manipulated, terroir-driven whites from Northern Italy. This 2007 is a rich and intense expression of 100% Garganega. Green apples, flowers and spices contribute to this rich yet delicate and minerally Soave." 91 points - Steve Rayman, B-21 Wine Team
"The 2007 Soave Staforte sees six months of batonnage which gives the wine a richer and more intense expression of varietal Garganega aromas and fruit. Although this bottling possesses gorgeous textural beauty, I find the normal bottling slightly more convincing here. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
Pra is an excellent source for Soave, one of Northern Italy’s most compelling white wines. These two wines are made from 100% Garganega farmed on hillside vineyards in the heart of the Soave zone. 88 points, Antonio Galloni for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #178 (AUG 2008)
"Attractive translucent yellow in color, with pineapple and cream, a hint of anise and a chalky mineral character that characterizes the texture of the palate. Medium-bodied and well-structured. An interesting white. Drink now. 1,665 cases made." 88 points - Wine spectator Web Only 2009
