This is completely different as the expressive nose displays a black cherry liqueur nose replete with obvious minerality and underbrush notes that give way to very fresh, delicious and exceptionally rich and textured full-bodied flavors that culminate in a supple, round and deep finish where the minerality resurfaces. This is also a consistent performer for Magnien and it is again in 2007. 90-92 Points, Allen Meadow's Burghound, Issue#33
Deep, saturated red-ruby. Reduced, primary nose hints at very ripe fruits. Broad, dense and sappy, conveying an almost candied impression of ripeness supported by lively stony minerality. In fact, this tactile, somewhat saline but nicely refined wine is downright penetrating. The pH here is low in the context of this group, at 3.45. 90-93 Points, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Mar/Apr 09
