Very pure and stony, with a note of grapefruit zest around the edges of the blanched almond, honeysuckle, Jonagold apple and heather flavors. The long, superminerally finish is amazingly pure and refined, with plenty in reserve. Drink now through 2018. 95 Points, The Wine Spectator (Oct 2008)
The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc, which includes equal percentages of all six authorized white varietals, exhibits notes of licorice, poached pears, honeysuckle, and citrus. Deep and full-bodied with good acidity as well as surprising length and richness, it is one of the top whites of the appellation. 91 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #179 (OCT 2008) |
