Less expressive and fruity on the nose than the Vigne Blanche, showing menthol and stone notes. Supple on entry, then rather backward in the middle palate, with lovely cut to the citrus and crushed stone flavors. Finishes broad and quite dry, especially following the Vigne Blanche. As it usually is, this is both the most elegant and the most complex wine in the range even if it's only by a little with a spicy mèlange of more deeply pitched violet, wet stone and red berries that is in perfect keeping with the rich, full and beautifully delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess a beguiling mouth feel and ample power on the tension-filled finish.
