The 2007 Serrata Belguardo shows a touch more depth and roundness than the 2008. Here the tannins are beautifully silky as they frame tar, smoke, red cherries and flowers. There is wonderful complexity in the glass to match the soft, caressing finish. The Serrata Belguardo is Sangiovese and Alicante that spent 12 months in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013. 89 points Wine Advocate # 190 (Aug 2010)
