An overtly spicy and mildly exotic nose that is a mix of floral, green and yellow fruit and sea breeze slides into big, rich and intense flavors that are not especially fine though there is admirable concentration and ample dry extract. This is round, frank and attractive with less elegance than the Montmains but even more depth and intensity. 90 Points, Allen Meadows' Burghound, Issue 28 (Oct. 2007)
Strong oyster shell minerality on the nose. Dense and smooth but juicy and closed; in a tight, dry style but with a captivating delicate sweetness lurking. Finishes with subtle persistence. 90+ points, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug 07
