"Sage, mint, and assorted other green herbs strongly mark the nose of Humbrecht’s 2005 Muscat d’Alsace Herrenweg, showing more petits grains Muscat character than its 70% Ottonel would suggest. Sixteen grams of sugar are relatively well balanced by bright acids and the herb-dominated finish juicy and engaging." 88 points - Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, Issue 175
"Slightly reduced on the nose, hinting at yellow fruits. Sweeter, suppler and richer than the 2004 version, but a bit youthfully closed. This was on its lees until it was bottled a week prior to my visit, noted Olivier Humbrecht. Possesses more stuffing than the 2004, but the firm acids give it shape and grip. Impressively dense for this basic muscat bottling. (The 2005 Muscat Goldert was still fermenting in September!)" 88 Points - Stephen Tanzer's Int'l Cellars (July 2007)
