"(60% carinena and 40% garnacha) Inky ruby. Explosively aromatic bouquet of red berry compote, baking spices and flowers, along with mocha, anise and vanilla. Deep, sweet and palate-staining, with intense raspberry and kirsch flavors, supple tannins and a jolt of fresh minerals on the finish. The spicy character lingers with superb clarity and persistence." 93 points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Sep/Oct 07

"The 2004 La Creu Alta is 60% old-vine Carinena and 40% Grenache from vineyards over 100 years of age. Inky purple, the wine has an ethereal nose of spice box, scorched earth, truffle, graphite, kirsch, and wild blueberries. Already complex on the palate, the wine is plush and silky with impeccable balance and an exceptionally long finish. Drink this hedonistic effort over the next 10-12 years." 97+ Points, Robert Parker's, The Wine Advocate
