"Very subtle aromas of Brazilian lime, lemon and slate. Full-bodied, with intense fruit and acidity and a long aftertaste of mineral, green apple, melon and honey. Very lively and intense. Extremely well done for this estate. Best after 2010. 2,665 cases made." 92 points - Wine Spectator, March 31, 2008
60% Sem,40% SB. This wine, whose Chateau is situated on the former site of a 12th century fortress, exhibits an oaky casing that leads to a Chardonnay-like texture and richness. The flavors of the wine are still true to the region, showing the plumpness of Semillon and the grip and intensity of Sauvignon Blanc. A very complex and compelling wine that will develop nicely for the next 10 yrs. 93 Points, Rhett Beiletti, B-21
