Made from 91% Merlot along with tiny dollops of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, the 2004 Fat Boy Proprietary Red emerges primarily from David Abreu’s Madrona Ranch vineyard. Its deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by a sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, jammy cherries, licorice, smoke, and earth. Dense, ripe, unctuously-textured, and, yes, fat, it should be consumed over the next 7-8 years. 91-94 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate #162 (Dec. 2005) |
