This classic wine is consistently one of the top values in affordable Burgundy, with an expressive cherry aroma and hints of violets and liquorice. The texture is firm and tannic, with an elegant, sophisticated feel to it. The grapes are from a hectare of domaine-owned vines in Chambolle and Nuits (outside the village appellations). They are partially destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask, 25% new. This will be ready to drink on release and then over the next several years.
