The NV Brut Réserve Oubliée (base 2015 ) marries freshness, tension and the complexity that emerges from the perpetual reserve in this blend. Wonderfully complex and layered, with striking aromatic presence, the Réserve Oubliée has so much going on. Marzipan, dried flowers, mint, lemon confit and spice build in the resonant, creamy finish. Dosage is 4.5-5.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: December, 2020.

Disgorged in December 2020 and based on the 2015 vintage (complemented by a perpetual reserve that dates back to 1988), the latest release of Péters's NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Réserve Oubliée offers up inviting aromas of crisp stone fruit, freshly baked bread, almond paste and dried white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and enveloping, it's fleshy but incisive, with a beautifully refined pinpoint mousse and a long, creamy finish. It's great now, but it will be even better with a year or two on cork.
