The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs d'Aÿ is bright, effusive and full of character. Chardonnay is so expressive in Aÿ, where the aromatics are beautifully lifted and there is plenty of depth. Lemon confit, spice, apricot, tangerine peel and light tropical notes all grace this super-expressive Blanc de Blancs. Disgorged: February, 2021.

Disgorged in November 2019, the new release of Chiquet's NV Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs d'Aÿ is pretty, bursting with scents of apple blossom, crisp orchard fruit, fresh peach and warm bread. Medium-bodied, ample and pillowy, with a charming core of fruit, bright acids and a pinpoint mousse, it's a bright, expressive bottling that I suspect will pick up a bit of additional depth with a year or two on cork.
