The nose opens slowly like a great flower, aromas of Amalfi lemons, mandarin oranges, grilled hazelnuts and toasted baguette cascading out of the glass as the wine aerates. This starts quite gently on the very focused, medium-bodied palate. Then, just when you think it’s safe to go back in the water, a giant wave of spices and chalky minerality washes over you. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Ripe yet attractively fresh aromas are comprised by notes of prominent mineral reduction, citrus confit, pear and a wonderfully broad array of floral elements. The mouthfeel of the larger-bodied and solidly concentrated flavors is positively gorgeous while brimming with the hallmark stoniness of a great Chevalier, all wrapped in a precise, firm and hugely long finale. This is an old school Chevy that is really quite stunning. *Don’t Miss!*
