This is dark-fruited and chocolatey on the nose with hints of spices and moist earth. Structured and meaty on the dry, medium- to full-bodied palate with velvety, caressing tannins. Lingering and compact finish. Syrah, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Drink or hold.

Pouring a deep magenta color, the 2022 Mediterra is layered on the nose and leads with primary fruit of blackberries, fresh minty herbs, wet stone, black pepper, and fresh purple flowers. It fills the palate with a full-bodied but elegant feel, ripe tannins, and an evenly balanced finish. It is a charming wine now and should improve over the coming 6-12 months as it takes on a more savory Mediterranean character. Drink 2026-2036.
