Just under 20,000 bottles were filled after 10 months of barrel aging in 36% new French oak.

Emul Ross makes the wine at Anthony Russell’s estate which his father, Tim Hamilton Russell, founded in 1975. This 2022 is a gorgeous, spicy pinot noir with plenty of pink-peppercorn lift and turned-earth savor. It’s nervy, and the bitter tannins would benefit from the company of barbecue or grilled meat in a sweet soy glaze.
