A singed bacon note reverberates through this sanguine version, filled out with ripe red fruit on a creamy palate. Tangy acidity cruises through, giving lift and brightness to the perfumy finish, edged in salt, iron and alder smoke. Drink now through 2028. 20,000 cases made, 800 cases imported.

A sleek, medium-bodied and rather elegant Crozes-Hermitage with the meatiness and firmness we expect from this appellation. Some stony minerality at the moderately dry finish. A pure syrah with just 12.5% alcohol. Drink or hold.

Mostly from the Chassis region, with some from the northern part of the appellation, the 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Les Launes is charming and upfront, with perfumed red fruit, lavender, bouquet garni, and spicy, floral nuances. It's medium-bodied, forward, has supple tannins, and a great finish. Drink 2025-2035.
