A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc making up the rest, the 2021 Raymond Reserve Selection Cabernet Sauvignon comes from 16 different vineyards. It is deep garnet-purple in color and soars from the glass with notes of warm cassis, blackberry pie, and chocolate mint, with underlying wafts of violets, pencil shavings, and cracked black pepper. The full-bodied palate is rich and seductive with great tension and velvety tannins, finishing long and layered.

Flush with warmed cassis and plum reduction notes, this is inlaid with violet, cocoa, humus and singed alder accents. Generous in feel, with enough cut on the finish to match its heft. Best from 2025 through 2036. 16,000 cases made.

Showing lots of cocoa, brown sugar and espresso in the aroma, this full-bodied wine oozes maple syrup and black cherries over a chalky, tannic texture that smooths out with more sipping. The concentration of black fruits is impressive.

Easy-sipping, full-bodied and almost sweet in flavor. This blend of grapes from around Napa Valley gives a broad, generous texture and lush, ripe red and black fruit. 11% of cabernet franc adds a little tannin to balance the sunny fruit flavors. Drink now.
