Situated between two vineyard-covered hillsides with clusters of pine trees topping the slopes, Pine Ridge Vineyards has produced its outstanding Napa Cabernet Sauvignon just off the Silverado Trail for over 40 years, “a pleasure-bent beauty” according to critic Jeb Dunnuck that has consistently garnered 90 plus pt. ratings over the last decade. Spanning 160 acres within five AVA’s, the grapes were hand harvested from the estate’s sustainably farmed vineyards throughout the Napa Valley including Stags Leap, Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford and Carneros, the outstanding 2021 vintage producing below average yields of small, intensely flavored berries. A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Merlot, Petite Sirah and Malbec, winemaker Michael Beaulac aged the 2021 Pine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon in a combination of 35% new French oak, 15% new American oak and the remaining 50% in neutral French oak barrels for 18 months, yielding alluring fresh fruit hinting of vanilla and forest with lush, integrated tannins promising longevity.
