Beautiful plum and blue fruits, sappy herbs, violets, and sandalwood notes all emerge from Merus's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, a deep purple-hued, ripe, sexy 2021. Despite all its upfront baby fat, it has a rock-solid underlying structure and is going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and should be long-lived.

This blend of mountain-grown and Coombsville district grapes yields a yummy, dark and polished wine that’s a treat to drink now and will live long as well. With a deep, dark color, potent blackcurrant, blueberry and cocoa aromas and firm tannins, this is a great combo of power and polish. Best after 2028.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon flies out with bold notions of baked blackberries, boysenberry preserves, and creme de cassis followed by nuances of Indian spices, dusty soil, and pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and bags of freshness to support the taut, muscular black and blue fruits, finishing long and earthy.
