The 2021 Pommard Les Saucilles 1er Cru, which was partly pulled up in 2016, comes exclusively from old vines. It offers crunchy red fruit on the nose, a little darker than the Volnays, with a strong marine influence and touches of black olive compote. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red and black fruit, powdery in texture with a crisp, saline finish. Enjoy this over the next 10-12 years.
