The 2019 Mountain Sun White is an 80/20 blend of Moschofilero and Sauvignon Blanc, unoaked, dry and coming in at 12.3% alcohol. It's hard to rate this too highly, since it is made to drink young and not much more. That said, it always fulfills its goals as a fresh white. It adds a feeling of fullness (despite the low alcohol), a perky demeanor and enticing aromatics. It tastes great too, seeming in its youth like the essence of the grape (leaning to the Moschofilero component). It's a perfect summer white and good value most every year. Under screwcap, this might age better than we think, but it is still a wine to drink as young as possible, because being fresh is what it is all about. It's worth leaning up today. Don't expect it to reward you for holding it past this summer.
