Julien Fayard's first made Le Pich in 2011; this vintage is sourced from vineyards in Oak Knoll, Rutherford and Coombsville. Enticing dark cassis aromas with rich cedar oak and chocolate. Robust cedary oak tannins on the weighty palate gives more structure than previous years and offers excellent tension and grip. Promising.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Pich is a terrific introductory-level wine from Julien Fayard. A rich, opulent wine, Le Pich offers up a compelling mélange of black cherry, plum, chocolate, cloves, new leather and licorice. This bold, sumptuous Cabernet delivers the goods, big time. The 2019 is one of the best editions of Le Pich I can remember tasting.
