Ca' dei Frati was founded in 1939 when patriarch Felice Dal Cero settled on the Lombardy side of the Lugana appellation at the south end Lake Garda not far from Verona. It's called "Ca' dei Frati," or "friar house," because it was once owned by monks who grew grapes here. Morainic soils deposited by the melting glacier that became Lake Garda are the magic at Ca' dei Frati expressing rich, viscous ample fruit that has concentration and aromatic profile of white flowers, ripe lemons and apricots with good acidity with an elegant, rich finish. The combination of rich fruit flavors with density and perfumed aromatics with just enough acidity to maintain balance all the way to the finish. A serious Italian white bargain that is too easy to drink.

Aromas of mature pear, citrus and white spring flowers form the delicately enticing nose. The savory palate offers gooseberry, white peach and juicy grapefruit alongside tangy acidity. It closes on a white almond note.
