The 2018 Amarone della Valpolicella is remarkably fresh and vibrant in the glass with violet florals, medicinal cherries and hints of dark chocolate. This is cool-toned yet silky in feel, with a saline core of minerals and acids that propels its intense ripe red berries and spices. If not for the hint of alcoholic warmth (17%), this would be taken to the next level. It finishes long and lightly structured with a penetration of intense tart raspberry.
