I simply love the 2018 The President's Malbec Malbec, 50% Malbec from El Cepillo in the Valle de Uco and 50% Malbec from San Patricio de Chañar in Neuquén! It is austere, balanced, insinuating and elegant, with subtle aromas of violets and neatly integrated oak, coming through as clean, fresh, aromatic and expressive. It's vibrant, has energy and light and great purity of flavors. 10,000 bottles were filled in November 2019.

This new wine from Escorihuela combines grapes from Mendoza and Neuquén, but its heart lies in Pampa El Cepillo, Uco Valley. The nose delivers captivating ripe flavors of blackberry and plum jam with herbal notes. Easy-drinking, bringing deep flavor to the palate with an indulgent entrance and fruity syrup that caresses the tongue with its rough but flowing texture. The achievement here has been to produce a ripe profile that doesn’t overwhelm. Aged for 14 months in French barrels.

This shows transparency and focus with blackberries, stones and violets. Some chocolate, too. Medium to full body, fine and integrated tannins and a delicious finish. Nothing overdone, but all in balance. A blend of malbec, cabernet sauvignon and syrah. Drink or hold.
