A tightly wound, sleek red marked by floral, cherry, menthol and mineral aromas and flavors. Reveals ripeness midpalate and builds to a lingering, detailed finish. Shows plenty of energy and complexity. Best from 2024 through 2042. 563 cases made.

The 2017 Barbaresco Pajè offers up a compelling mélange of sweet red-toned fruit, cinnamon, blood orange, leather, cedar and tobacco. Deceptive in its mid-weight structure, the 2017 fleshes out nicely with a bit of time in the glass, showing its natural breadth and creaminess. Here, too, there is a good bit of immediacy and overall appeal.
