Lagler's 2017 Spitzer Ried Setzberg Riesling Federspiel is very clear, fresh and flinty on the nose but at the same time intense, ripe and concentrated. Salty-piquant with good tension, this is bone dry but concentrated, steely structured Riesling with enormous aging potential. This is great with its firm, fruity, concentrated, aromatic, lingering salty and well-structured character. Gorgeous and stimulating. Harvested in the middle of October, vinified in stainless steel and bottled in August 2018. Tasted there weeks later in September 2018.
