The only red bottled from the catastrophic 2017 vintage is the 2017 Arbois Pupillin Pinot Noir Sous la Roche, from a year of frost that saw a dry and warm end of the season that increased the ripeness and concentration of the wines. It's a fleshy and sunny Pinot Noir, rich and with an unusual Mediterranean character. Mareschal mentioned that it felt fresher after the élevage. It was bottled in June 2018.
