I liked the 2016 Flor de Vetus, the entry-level red, which shows good freshness, varietal character and integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied, with some creamy flavors and a soft texture. A crowd-pleaser. 133,000 bottles produced.

Bold summer berries with a whiff of savory, flinty stone and graphite. The palate is bright, deep and juicy with an assertive tang of raspberry pip. Drink now.
