Tenuta Sette Ponti takes its name from the seven bridges that cross the Arno River between Florence and Arezzo in the heart of Tuscany. Arezzo is home to the 16th century pentagonal Medici fortress where best to view the Arno Valley, from one of the five defensive towers. Antonio Moretti launched Tenuta Sette Monti in 1997 with Oreno the flagship wine. The oldest vines on the estate were planted in 1935. Much of the estate was planted during the 1960's by Antonio's father. The family's passion has propelled this property to the top, among the best wine estates in the world today. The Super Tuscan Oreno is a blend of Cabernet and Merlot that has twice earned its place in the Top 10 of the annual Wine Spectator's Top 100. 2016, a vintage rated as "97" by The Wine Advocate for the region, and according to James Suckling, is the finest Oreno yet.
