Bright straw. Musky aromas of ripe yellow fruit, pepper, dry herbs and balsamic oils. Then large, ripe and saline, offering fleshy orchard fruit and savory flavors that linger nicely. A rather tactile Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi that finishes long and lemony but with repeating herbal notes. The Misco is made from a single vineyard characterized by soils that are slightly richer in clay than the other estate vineyards; the vines are south-facing and roughly 20 years old. (“Misco” is the ancient name of the nearby Musone river.)

Delicate lemon and white spring flower aromas take shape in this wine. The savory, structured palate offers ripe tropical fruit, creamy yellow peach, ginger and toasted almond notes alongside bright acidity. Drink through 2022.
